Music Video or Videoke?

post2.jpg

To avoid confusion and to make a distinction because although they seem similar, they obviously are not the same let us differentiate the two. Music Videos are strictly promotional materials meant to increase the sales or make people aware of new singles or albums of certain artists. Videoke on the other hand is Karaoke injected with video lyrics capability. Karaoke traces its roots from Japan where it is used as an entertainment tool where mostly amateur singers sing along with a recorded music.

Music Videos and Videoke are both means of entertainment and meant to promote music. However, Videoke differs in the sense that the music used are already well known and established songs and the volume of the voice of the original singer is either removed or reduced.
