Don’t ask us why, but there is something about Beyonce’s music video for Single Ladies that just works.
The theme is simple enough – dance where Beyonce and two other dances strut their stuff in leotards and heels, all in a black and white setting, with the backgrounds switching to white and gray. The music video has become so popular that people have begun to pardy it, the most famous of which is the Saturday Night Live parody with Justin Timberlake donning heels and a leotard and dancing (with two other men in leotards and heels) with Beyonce herself.
Don’t get us wrong – this is not some great timeless classic, but it works some sort of magic nevertheless (last song syndrome, anyone?), and if you like Beyonce and you like dancing to an upbeat song, then you’re sure to have no complaints about this one.
