post1.JPG

In essence, a music video is a short film that is accompanied by a piece of music, usually a song and oftentimes though rarely an instrumental. Music videos are marketing tools used by producers and music companies to engage the audience and increase profit through sales of the albums.

Like movies, music videos also employ different filmmaking techniques depending on the director and the theme of the music. Some styles usually used in making music videos are animation, documentaries, live action filming, non-narrative like abstract films and others combine animation with live action. Whatever film style is used the main essence is that what it is trying to sell is the music.
